WHAT IS BIBLE QUIZZING?

In a nutshell, Bible Quizzing is a highly competitive activity combining characteristics of basketball and quiz shows in an effort to encourage teenagers to learn the Word of God. Bible Quizzers memorize verses and chapters of specific New Testament books and jump off electronically-activated seat pads in an effort to be the first to answer questions asked by a Quizmaster during twelve-minute quizzes. A quiz takes place between three teams at a time and whichever team’s score is the highest at the end of the quiz wins first place. Individual results are also tallied and acknowledged.

HOW CAN I BECOME INVOLVED IN BIBLE QUIZZING?

1. Start a team at your church! It’s not as hard as it sounds. First, you need to find some others who are interested in quizzing. Then, you’ll need to get some quiz portions containing the books we are quizzing on this year (available from Bronze Wall Ministries for $5 a piece). If you are a quizzer, you’ll need to find three-four other quizzers and a head coach, and maybe an assistant. If you are a coach, find at least four quizzers. Then, start memorizing! You can get tips on coaching, quizzing and memorizing for free by simply calling, emailing or writing to Bronze Wall Ministries.

2. Join an already existing team, as a quizzer or coach! Bronze Wall Ministries will soon be forming teams from a core group of experienced quizzers and coaches, and there may be room for you on one of these teams! Contact us to find out!

3. Serve as a Bible Quizzing Official! If you are an adult who is interested in helping teens grow in the knowledge and love of God through His Word, we can find a spot for you as a Bible Quizzing Official! Just let us know you are interested and we’ll take care of the rest!
